Non-Profit Service
Since 2014
For over five years, Bill has served residents of Miami and Montgomery County as the Executive Director of The New Path, Inc., one of the largest human service non-profit organizations in the Miami Valley. Under his leadership, The New Path, Inc. has been recognized as a leader in providing service to those that need it the most. In 2018, the organization was honored by the Dayton Business Journal as a "Best Place to Work" and has been repeated named a Four Star Charity by CharityNavigator.
Bill has also been a driving force in the creation of a number of non-profits throughout the Miami Valley designed to help our most vulnerable residents in their most difficult times. He is the founding Executive Director of Neighborlink Miami Valley, Inc. and a founding board member of the Miami County Food Insecurity Alliance, Inc.
Public Service
2001-2014
From being a substitute teacher at Troy High School to securing funding from state policymakers in Columbus, Bill has created a career in making Miami County's communities strong.
He served as the first township administrator of Bethel Township, Miami County, where he worked with elected officials to lay the ground work for water and wastewater infrastructure throughout the southern portion of the township.
Bill then served for six years as part of a critical team to create a new energy and excitement in the City of Piqua. He worked with other talented individuals to rehabilitate the Fort Piqua Plaza and tear down the old Piqua Hospital. Bill also played a critical role in leading the city's efforts to engage citizens to help make Piqua a better community.
For his efforts in the community, Bill was recognized in 2014 by the Dayton Business Journal as one of the Top 40 Young Professionals under the age of 40.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
Non-Profit Board Service
Bill has an extensive history of board service, including serving as a board member of the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services and the Miami County Community Action Council. He also served as President of the Board of Directors of Mainstreet Piqua, Inc. and iPresident of the Council on Rural Service Programs, Inc. and the Miami County Continuum of Care. Bill also is a founding member of Neighborlink Miami Valley, Inc. and the Miami County Food Insecurity Alliance, Inc.
Elected Service
Bill is currently serving on his second term as President of Troy City Council. Previously on council, he served as Chairman of the Building Committee and also served on the Streets and Sidewalks Committee and the Utilities Committee.
Bill had the privilege to serve as a member of the Troy City Schools Board of Education for two years from 2012-2013.

Bill attended Wright State University after graduating from Troy High School. He graduated with honors with a Bachelor's Degree in Urban Affairs and was honored with the opportunity to serve the university as Graduate Research Assistant, where we earned his Master of Public Administration degree.
While at Wright State, Bill was honored as an Outstanding Graduate Student and was inducted in both the Golden Key National Honor Society and Pi Alpha Alpha, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.
In 2016, Bill was honored to be named an Outstanding Alumni from the College of Liberal Arts at Wright State University.
Indiana University
Non Profit Executive Leadership Certificate, 2017
Certificate in Fund Raising Leadership, 2021
In 2017, Bill received his Certificate in Non-Profit Executive Leadership from the O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs from Indiana University in Indianapolis. He also earned a Certificate in Fund Raising Leadership Program offered by The Fund Raising School and the Lilly School of Philanthropy, also at Indiana University.
In 2022, Bill earned a Certificate in Non-Profit Leadership from the Bush School at Texas A&M University.
Bill also earned his Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the Center for Competitive Change at the University of Dayton in 2015 and also earned a Lean Six Sigma Camo Belt from the LeanOhio program offered by the Ohio Department of Administrative Services in 2014.
Bill has also completed community leadership programs, such as Leadership Troy, Leadership Piqua and the Duke Foundation Graduate Academy for Community Leadership at Edison State Community College.
